Sara Brumbaugh is Managing Principal of Ceres Analytics, a consultancy specializing in applied mathematics, statistics, and machine learning. Sara’s roots are in business forecasting: she’s worked with the IBF for over 20 years, and is the 2015 recipient of IBF’s Lifetime Achievement Award. Sara’s work in predictive analytics began with construction of forecast drivers to predict stock returns for mutual funds.She has developed customer-level response models in marketing, along with product optimizations in market research.Her current work focuses on bioinformatics in medicine and science.Sara holds a masters in Economics from Florida State University.

Alan has over 30 years of experience in manufacturing including production, logistics, quality and process control, industrial engineering, operations planning, and operator training. As a supply chain consultant at BASF, he has participated in major re-engineering of business processes, integrations of acquired businesses, and process improvement projects, twice receiving the BASF Chairman’s Gold Award for his efforts. Now, Alan shares his knowledge and experience in BASF in his role as Supply Chain Education Specialist, a position he has held for the last 20 years. He is also a Senior Advisor/Facilitator for IBF’s Certified Professional Forecaster program and serves as a subject matter expert for the course content and examinations. He is also a trainer for ASCM’s Supply Chain Professional program. He holds a degree in engineering and an MBA. Alan was the 2019 recipient of IBF's Lifetime Achievement in Business Forecasting & Planning.
