Joe Cervino has over 35 years of experience in the Supply Chain Management environment and is currently the North American Regional Leader of Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) at Bayer Consumer Health. He has designed and implemented Executive S&OP and IBP processes for number of companies spanning the, CPG, biotech, and Pharmaceutical industries. He has been an APICS member for over 30 years and has serviced on the Greater NJ Chapter Board of Directors for over 27 years and past President in 1995-96. He currently holds the EVP position for the chapter. Joe holds a BA from William Paterson University, BS in Supply Chain Mgmt. from Bloomfield College and a Master Degree in Operations & Systems Mgmt. From NJIT and is APICS certified. Joe’s supply chain leadership experience covers a wide variety of manufacturing and corporate environments which include: Consumer Goods industries, Pharmaceuticals, Biotech and Aerospace/Defense. Specialties: Executive level S&OP ownership, demand planning, strategic management, CMO/3PL mgmt., production and capacity planning, project management, inventory and supply network optimization, distribution/transportation. Also Joe is a huge Seton Hall Pirates basketball fan and a season ticket holder for the past 25 years.

He provides innovative solutions based on 30+ years of experience in retail, distribution, manufacturing, and consulting. His work history includes software implementation, business planning, inventory control, distribution planning and corporate training.He has presented at over 300 industry events to local, regional and international audiences across the US, Canada, Japan, Australia, Nigeria and S. Africa. Ford has been recognized as a “subject matter expert” (SME) within the field of operations management and served on the review team for APICS CPIM courseware updates and as an SME for the APICS Principles courseware. He is regularly invited to speak at major international conferences such as APICS (United States) and SAPICS (South Africa).

Then he took the decision to try it in the USA as well starting up the OMP US operations 12 years ago and building up the team covering optimization projects at Eastman, P&G, Kimberly Clark, Johnson & Johnson. Recently the effort expanded further building up a new team in Brazil and Argentina as well.
